10 Fun Facts You Probably Didn't Know About Me
I love getting to know people beyond the usual small talk, so I thought it would be fun to share some random (and maybe surprising) things about me.
Let’s see if we have anything in common!
1. If I could only eat one food forever…
Tacos. Hands down. They’re the perfect food—endless variety, delicious flavors, and you can eat them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. When Jeff & I got married, we lived in New Mexico and ate tacos ALL the time. I can still turn any leftovers into a taco. 🌮
2. My biggest pet peeve
Leaving drawers or cupboard doors open. I don’t know why, but seeing them left ajar makes me twitchy. Just close them, people! 🙄
3. The most spontaneous thing I’ve ever done
My family and I sold EVERYTHING, moved into an RV, and traveled the U.S. for seven years. Yep, we just hit the road and embraced adventure. It was one of the best decisions we ever made! We saw all 50 states, met so many wonderful people, and learned so much about ourselves and our beautiful country.
4. If I could have dinner with any celebrity…
Princess Diana. I admired her so much. She was the definition of grace and kindness, and I’d love to hear her thoughts on life, motherhood, and making an impact in the world.
5. My guilty pleasure TV show
Severance. The twists and turns mess with my brain in the best way, and I’m still confused about the ending. Did you watch it?
6. A totally random thing I really don’t like
I can’t stand having anything between my feet and the ground. That means no skiing, ice skating, or roller skating for me. Something about it just feels wrong!
7. One of my most interesting (not embarrassing) life moments
I got suspended in high school. 😳 (I’ll leave the details up to your imagination!)
8. A skill I wish I could master
Paper quilling or embroidery. I tried embroidery once, and let’s just say… it did not go well. But I still think it’s beautiful and would love to learn! I have a few pieces from my grandma and great-grandma that are very precious to me.
9. The most unexpectedly fun thing I’ve ever done
Snorkeling! I’m not a great swimmer, so I didn’t think I’d enjoy it, but seeing the fish in Hawaii was absolutely beautiful. It ended up being such a fun family activity!
10. One random thing that makes me ridiculously happy
A really good donut. 🍩 You know the kind—fresh, soft, perfectly sweet. Give me that over fancy desserts any day (except maybe a really good cheesecake.)
Now it’s your turn!
What’s one fun or random fact about YOU? Drop it in the comments—I’d love to hear it!

That’s incredible. What languages did you speak? Do you still know them?

English of course, German, Italian and Spanish. Unfortunately I remember very little because I had no one to speak them with

My dad showed off brand new dirt bikes to my brother and me – then 4 and 6, respectively – in our backyard. And we didn’t have a big back yard. It was a standard 6000 sqft lot in the city. My brother’s was an automatic, so no clutch. Just twist the grip and it goes. And as the adult now, idk what Dad was thinking but he started up the bikes. And – yes, you can probably guess… my brother hit the gas and rode STRAIGHT into the fence knocking it into the neighbor’s yard. No one was hurt. Except maybe Dad’s pride in the “I told you so” conversation later. It’s still funny 45+ years later. 🤣 #random
